Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress, producer and director. She is most famous for her starring role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. For her portrayal of Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The seventh season of the series concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who is an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English heritage. Sedgwick has identified herself as Jewish and has said that she attends Passover seders.
